Hello and welcome to Nexus Crane Counselling! My name is Jacqueline and I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor with a focus on children and youth. Play is my passion when it comes to working with children. Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate, evidence-informed approach that uses play—the natural language of children—to help them express experiences, make sense of emotions, and build coping skills.

I am currently in the process of becoming a certified play therapist with the Canadian Association for Play Therapy. I am also a certified Circle of Security facilitator, with a focus on parent-child attachment. Sessions are about building feelings of safety, security, curiousity and acceptance.

Hello! Welcome to Nexus Crane Counselling. My name is Jacqueline. I work with kids, ages 4 and up, and adults in a variety of settings, including Walk and Talk therapy.

Play is a child’s natural language and toys are their words. I use stories, art, games, and imaginative play so kids can safely express big feelings, make sense of experiences, and practice new skills like problem-solving and regulating their bodies.

My background is in social work, with a Masters of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I am a Certified Canadian Counsellor, currently working towards my certification in play therapy with the Canadian Association of Play Therapy and Synergetic Play Therapy. I am also trained in Circle of Security, Theraplay (introductory level) and EMDR.
